Registration is now open for the Palm Beach County Seminole Club's annual Seminole Scramble & Kickoff Party. This year's scholarship golf tournament and luncheon will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, at Boca Lago Golf & Country Club.
The club is pleased to announce that former Florida State linebacker Buster Davis will serve as the guest of honor at this year's event. Previous attendees have included 2000 Heisman Trophy winner Chris Weinke, former longtime defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews, 1993 national champion fullback William Floyd, former first-round draft pick E.J. Manuel, Palm Beach County's very own Bobby Butler and, most recently, former star running back Greg Jones. You won't want to miss another Florida State legend and other notable former Seminoles for a day of golf, camaraderie and tales from FSU's glory days as we look ahead to the upcoming season. There will be autograph and photograph opportunities as well.
Golf check-in and registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. A cocktail reception will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the kickoff banquet at 1:30 p.m.
The $175 pre-registration cost includes golf and admission to the banquet. A discounted foursome is available in advance for $600. The cost is $60 for those wishing to attend just the banquet.
Because of spacing limitations, walk-ins will not be accepted at this time.
