The Palm Beach County Seminole Club is pleased to announce that its annual Seminole Scramble & Kickoff Party, disrupted last year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, will return Saturday, Aug. 28, this time at Boca Lago Golf & Country Club.
Former Florida State running back Greg Jones will serve as the guest of honor and keynote speaker for this year's luncheon. Jones played for the Seminoles from 2000-03, starting 22 games and amassing 2,535 yards and 23 touchdowns in his college career. A second-round draft pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jones spent nine of his 10 NFL seasons with the Florida team before retiring in 2014.
Jones will join other former Seminoles and notable FSU figures for signing and photograph opportunities.
Golf check-in and registration will begin at 7 a.m. with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. A cocktail reception will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the kickoff luncheon at 1:30 p.m. The $175 pre-registration cost includes golf and admission to the luncheon. A discounted foursome is available in advance for $565. The cost is $60 for those wishing to attend just the luncheon.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, walk-ins will not be accepted.
