The 2012 Florida State Seminoles return to the gridiron for the first game of the season this Saturday, Sept. 1, at 6 p.m. against Murray State. Join your fellow Palm Beach County Seminoles at Grease Burger Bar in downtown West Palm Beach.
Quarterback E.J. Manuel leads the seventh-ranked Seminoles, who finished 9-4 last season with victories over Miami, Florida and Notre Dame in the Champs Sports Bowl.
Grease will graciously offer a 25 percent discount and $2 touchdown shots to all those wearing FSU colors. There will also be a raffle for the chance to win FSU football tickets and other prizes.
Saturday's prizes include two pairs of tickets to the Sept. 8 home game against Savannah State and a $50 Grease gift certificate. Proceeds from the raffle benefit the Palm Beach County Seminole Club scholarship fund, which provides two scholarships each year to Palm Beach State College graduates who have chosen to continue their education at Florida State University.
The Palm Beach County Seminole Club will also have two new satellite game-watching locations -- Duffy's Sports Grill in North Palm Beach and Bru's Room Sports Grill in Boynton Beach.
Duffy's will have reserved seating for all Seminoles in the Sports Theatre section and is offering 2-4-1 drink specials throughout the game.
Bob's Backyard at Bru's Room will also be reserved for Seminoles. Fans will feel at home in this cozy, tucked away section of the restaurant where they can watch the game on every TV with their own bartender.
All raffles will be conducted at Grease unless otherwise noted.
