Burt Reynolds never stopped giving to Florida State University. Now it's time to pay it forward.

Unquestionably FSU's most famous alumnus, the "Smokey and the Bandit" star died in Palm Beach County earlier this month at the age of 82.

But just because the "Bandit" is gone, it doesn't mean his legacy has to die.

The Palm Beach County Seminole Club is partnering with the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film & Television and Revolutions at CityPlace to honor the man who brought Hollywood to our backyard.

"Bye Week Bowling for the Bandit" brings Seminoles together on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to pay tribute to the late actor and ensure that the North Palm Beach acting school where Burt taught classes will carry on for future generations.

For the nominal fee of just $25, you'll be treated to two hours of bowling, shoe rentals, soft drinks and two slices of pizza. Best of all, though, your attendance will help raise money for the 501(c)3 nonprofit in Burt's name.

If you aren't able to attend but would like to make a contribution, click here or call 561-743-9955. Be sure to tell them that you're with theĀ Palm Beach County Seminole Club! All donations are tax deductible.

Join us for an afternoon of fun, bowling and reliving some of Burt's classic films, all for a great cause.
